Founded in 1910, Ice Miller LLP is one of the largest law firms in Indianapolis. Nationally recognized in many of its practice areas, Ice Miller offers a broad array of capabilities in virtually all areas of the legal practice including: corporate, public affairs, intellectual property, labor/benefits, litigation, colleges and universities, private equity/venture services, public finance, real estate and health industries. With additional offices in Chicago, Washington D.C. and DuPage County, Illinois, the Firm has over 250 lawyers, 40 paraprofessionals and 290 support staff members.

• Ice Miller is the 11th largest Healthcare practice in the United States, according to Nightingale's Healthcare News. (May/June 2006)
• The American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) announced the nation's largest healthcare law firms for 2008 and Ice Miller LLP ranked 19th in the nation with a total of 38 AHLA members. The ranking appears in the February 2008, issue of Modern Healthcare.
• Ice Miller's Private Equity and Venture Services Group was recognized as the 33rd most active law firm in the nation based on the number of private equity and venture capital deals negotiated and closed on in 2006. The ranking, by Dow Jones, appears in the 2007 Guide to Venture Capital and Private Equity Attorneys. Closing a total of 66 deals in 2006, Ice Miller secured the top spot in Indiana.
• Ice Miller was also recognized by Dow Jones as the 54th most active law firm in the country based on the number of private equity and venture capital funds for which we were engaged, either on behalf of the general partners or participating limited partners, that had a final close in 2006.
• Ice Miller was named one of the Top 10 Bond Counsels in the country, and the Top Bond Counsel in the Midwest according to the Bond Buyer (February 2006).
• Ice Miller was recognized as a top-ranked law firm in Indiana for work in Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions and Real Estate by Chambers USA 2007.
• Ice Miller is featured in the Legal 500 Corporate and Finance volume for Mergers & Acquisitions in the Central region (2007, www.legal500.com)

Firm Accolades

• Ice Miller has been recognized among the national and local legal community for its diversity efforts. In 2006, Ice Miller was ranked by MultiCultural Law magazine:
  • 30th out of the top 100 law firms in the country for diversity;
  • 7th among the top 50 law firms in the country for diversity based on the number of women in the Firm;
  • 34th among the top 100 law firms in the country for partner diversity; and
  • 15th out of the top 25 law firms for Disabled Americans.
• Forty-seven of Ice Miller's attorneys were selected for inclusion in the 2008 edition of Best Lawyers in America®.
• Forty-six of Ice Miller's attorneys were named to the Indiana Super Lawyers List. The Indiana Super Lawyers List was sponsored by Law & Politics, a legal trade journal, and was published in the March 2008 issue of Indianapolis Monthly.
