Full Biography: Kay Fleming
Kay Fleming's practice is in the business area, concentrating primarily in gaming, minority and women business enterprise certifications and property tax reassessment issues.
Before joining Ice Miller in 1999, Ms. Fleming served as Chief Counsel for the Indiana Gaming Commission and clerked for a United States District Court Judge and a United States Bankruptcy Judge.
Ms. Fleming is a trustee of the International Association of Gaming Attorneys. Ms. Fleming is the advisory member of the National Association of Women Business Owners Board of Directors and a member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Business Diversity Council. She is chair of the Indiana Business Diversity Council's Governmental Affairs Committee, a director of the Indiana Women Business Owner's PAC, and a member of the Advisory Council for the Indiana University Minority Women and Small Business Executive Program. Ms. Fleming serves on the board of directors for Special Olympics of Indiana, New Horizons Student Enrichment, Stacey Toran Foundation, the Indianapolis City Market Foundation, and Eagle Creek Little League.
Ms. Fleming is a life-long resident of Indiana and graduated cum laude from Indiana State University, Evansville, Indiana, in 1982 where she received a Bachelor of Science in psychology. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Indiana University, Indianapolis, Indiana, where she graduated summa cum laude in 1990. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana.
Ms. Fleming is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and serves on the Racial Diversity in the Legal Profession Committee and the State Legislation Committee.
